I’m Avanlee Christine, founder and CEO of Avanlee Care, a healthcare technology company helping families support aging loved ones remotely.
My personal passions were shaped long before I started my company. Time spent in Haiti, where I witnessed extreme poverty and a near total lack of access to healthcare, profoundly influenced how I see the world and my responsibility within it. Those experiences deepened my commitment to the poor and marginalized, particularly in New York City, and to expanding opportunities for women in technology.
Avanlee Care began later, in New York City, while I was building my career in tech—and at one point crashing in Esther Dyson’s spare apartment. It was there that I began questioning why family caregivers were invisible to the healthcare system. That question became Avanlee Care, now one of the few female-founded health tech companies headquartered in Montana to raise venture capital.
I believe technology, when built with empathy, can strengthen relationships, restore dignity, and make care more accessible for families everywhere.
